The ECITB Project Management Steering Group (PMSG) aims to drive and positively influence the skills and competency development for project management and project leadership. Formed in 2014, it is made up of representatives from leading oil and gas, renewables and energy transition organisations.

The structure of the PMSG and its working groups

The PMSG helps to build capacity within the energy sector and share knowledge from other sectors and regions to promote best practice across the wider engineering construction industry. There are five working groups within the PMSG focussing on competence, attraction of new entrants to the industry, project controls, the biennial conference and diversity and inclusion.

Membership of the PMSG is open to engineering construction companies involved in the energy transition and related activities – from legacy production of fossil fuel to renewables and future energy systems. It represents project-funding organisations, asset owners, operators, service providers, the wider supply chain and other industry associations.
