This qualification is available for registrations from 1 July 2024.

Based on National Occupational Standards, this ECITB Diploma in Engineering Construction Design and Draughting at SCQF Level 6 includes units on contributing to effective working relationships in engineering construction, identifying, analysing, and evaluating factors affecting technical design and more.

The ECITB Diploma in Engineering Construction Design and Draughting at SCQF Level 6 qualification is a work-based qualification. The qualification comprises both knowledge and competence.

The objectives of this qualification are to:

  • Prepare learners for employment in design and draughting in the engineering construction industry.
  • Support learners working in design and draughting in the engineering construction industry.
  • Enable learners to progress to higher levels providing opportunities to move to supervisory and managerial roles.
