Qualification summary

This qualification is available for registrations from 1 July 2024.

Based on National Occupational Standards, this ECITB Diploma in Maintaining Plant and Systems – Mechanical at SCQF Level 7 includes units on contributing to effective working relationships in engineering construction, working with environmental sustainability in mind and more.

The ECITB Diploma in Maintaining Plant and Systems – Mechanical at SCQF Level 7 qualification is awork-based qualification. The qualification comprises both knowledge and competence.

The objectives of this qualification are to:

  • Prepare learners for employment in the maintaining plant and systems in the mechanical industry.
  • Support learners working in the maintaining of plant and systems in the mechanical industry.
  • Enable learners to progress to higher levels providing opportunities to possible supervisory and managerial roles.
