The ECITB-funded nuclear bursary is open for another round of funding to support training in the sector.

The current round of Nuclear Bursary Scheme, managed by NSAN and funded by the ECITB and the NDA, focuses on skills development for a green economic recovery, particularly the UK’s ambitious programme to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

Applications from individuals whose roles might be at risk within carbon intensive industries, and who are looking to transition into nuclear are encouraged to apply.

Applications are also invited from:

Chris Claydon, CEO of ECITB, said: “Throughout the pandemic the ECITB has worked to support employers, learners and training providers to continue vital workplace skills development.

“Our commitment to the Nuclear bursary provides immediate support for talented new entrants embarking on engineering construction careers and is an investment in the future of the engineering construction industry.”

The Bursary can be used to support placements, internships, secondments and programmes of study relevant to the sector, providing a contribution towards the cost of the course.

Apply to the Nuclear Bursary for support before 9 April.
