The ECITB is reminding all in-scope companies to cast their vote on the proposed levy rates for 2023-25, with just 2 weeks remaining to have your say.
The industry skills body’s new strategy ‘Leading Industry Learning: 2023-25’ launched last month, setting out ambitious plans to support industry growth by helping bring more new entrants into industry through a range of career pathways and by funding high-quality workforce training.
In the strategy, the Board of the ECITB proposes maintaining the existing levy rates, which are 1.2% of gross labour emoluments for site workers, and 0.33% for offsite/other workers.
There are three ways companies can vote:
1) By attending an ECITB regional forum. Upcoming fora will be held in: Midlands and East of England on 11th October, EDP region on 12th October, Southern England on Thursday 13th October and North East of England on Friday 14th October. Your ECITB account manager will have sent you details about your regional forum. Please contact them if you are able to attend.
2) By proxy, using the ballot papers sent on 20th September.
3) Through your trade association if you are a member of ECIA or BCECA.
Please contact your account manager if you have any questions.
ECITB STRATEGY 2023-25: Leading Industry Learning
Chris Claydon, ECITB Chief Executive, said: “It is vital that all levy-payers have their say on our proposed levy rates and I would strongly encourage you to vote. At the ECITB, we work to make sure the industry workforce has the high-quality training required to thrive. Your support for our levy proposals will ensure we can continue to do this and secure the future skills needs of the industry.”
